From the Principal

April is a special month. We are closing in on the end of the year and everybody is excited about spring break. We need you help keeping our students focused in April and May. I know there are lots of out of school activities with the ward weather but please keep reminding your students the importance of being positive and excited each day.
We have a very special event scheduled for the end of April. It is the Father/Daughter and Mother/Son Dance on April 25th from 6:30-8:30 in the school cafeteria. A flyer came home on Thursday, April with all the details. These same details can be found on this webpage. I hope you will be able to attend. If another adult relative needs to fill in for mom or dad that is more than acceptable.   All the proceeds will be used to support the Archery Team.
We are very proud of our Archery Team for finishing second place in the state archery competition.
There are several students I want to recognize for recent accomplishments:   Keaton Heitger won second place for third grade in the Heritage Tea, Black History Projects.   Taylor Church won first place for third grade writing in the Superintendent Writing Contest for Kershaw County School District.  Jase Bowers was the top archer for all males, Mikiah Duncan finished as the third best female archer and Cameron Entzimer was the top overall third grade archer at the state contest.

eChalk Parent Accounts

Parents of elementary school students can register for an eChalk Parent Account at http://bes.kcsdschools.com/parents/register.  (All parents must create a new account for the 2013-14 School Year.)

Middle & high school students require a District ID number, which you will receive in a letter from the school that will be sent home soon.  This information will allow parents to access the student's homework schedule and view class pages directly.

Additional information on eChalk Parent Accounts - including a video walk-through - are available on the district website at www.kershaw.k12.sc.us/district/instruction/echalk.
