Spring is in the air. With the weather getting warmer, sports starting back up and the time change on March 14, our school is all a buzz. Peter Howe, the author of Waggit's Tale, visited Blaney and brought his dog Rocco, the first blood drive at Blaney was held, PASS writing is next week, Family Fun night is March 25, and Spring break is April 2.
In addition, the expansion of our media center is almost complete and the six room addition is on schedule to be completed by June. You can see pictures of all of these events on our website scrapbook.
The changes in the attendance line have been approved and Blaney will be opening our arms to the children from Doby's Mill Elementary School that are newly zoned for Blaney. I will be available Monday, March 15 from 3:30-5:00 to meet with parents and children. At that time, I will answer questions and walk families around our school. Staff, parents and children of Blaney are "Driven to Succeed" and are focused on "Building and Enhancing Success."
