Welcome to BES! From the Principal Wow! The first week of school is behind us and it was great! All of the students came ready to start learning from the first day. We have welcomed over 600 students to school. In a matter of one week we enrolled over 50 new students. In addition to the new students, we have welcomed 17 new staff members to our school. This is an exciting time for Blaney Elementary as we grow. We are planning on applying for Palmetto's Finest again this year. The PTA has agreed to assist us in paying for murals to be painted. They will also help us obtain support from local businesses since getting murals painted is a costly endeavor. This year is going to be a pivotal year for our school and I invite every parent, community member and business to offer support by volunteering, giving donations when asked, buying from our fundraisers but most importantly, letting everyone know that Blaney is a positive place for the children of Elgin. Carter Lisa Carter	District Information Parent Class Update Sign-Up: Sign up for class email updates for your student(s) classes. 2010-11 Summer Reading: View the summer reading information for all schools. 2010-11 Student Fee Schedule: Download the student fee schedule for all students. 2010-11 School Supply Lists: The district has created one school supply list for all elementary schools for the 2010-2011 school year. It can be folded into a 2-sided brochure for parents to carry easily as a shopping list for back to school supplies.
