Born in Bethel, Connecticut 1962
Graduated from Bethel High School 1980
Graduated from College of Charleston 1985 with a BS in elementary/early childhood education
Graduated from University of South Carolina 1991 with a M.Ed. in elementary administration
Obtained certification for learning disabilities from Francis Marion University in 1989
Currently live in Lugoff, SC with my husband, Lavoy and three children, Jordan, Kelli and Craig.
I have been the principal at Blaney Elementary School for 8 years. Previously, I was the assistant principal for 4 years.

Read every night with your child. Read to him; read along side him; have him read to you and he can read to a younger sibling.
Have your child read a book, magazine, newspaper, back of a cereal box or comic book. Reading helps build fluency, vocabulary, imagination, focus and confidence. There is no better gift to give your child than the love of reading!
